Prior to the launch of Brae, Laura Kemlo studied Printed Textile Design at the Scottish School of Textiles and has been designing in fashion and textiles for over 10 years. Taking inspiration from the colours, textures and aesthetic beauty found throughout her homeland, Laura is constantly inspired by the world around her. Now, as Creative Director and founder of Brae, her huge passion for traditional textiles, pattern and colour is united with her fascination for the natural world and the breathtaking landscape that surrounds her.
Each Brae design is hand drawn and painted in Scotland, before being printed onto 100% pure silk, here in the British Isles. We maintain a connection to each piece throughout the manufacturing process by working closely with a number of expertly talented individuals who we believe can exemplify our brand standards. We care deeply about our product and to the last stitch we have ensured the highest possible standards of quality. Each scarf is meticulously finished with a hand rolled hem, a traditional process that elevates each Brae product to an item of luxury and ensures that every customer will be purchasing something truly beautiful, that will last a lifetime.
Here at The Brae Emporium we care just as much for our planet as we do our customers. We strive to ensure that all of our products are sustainably sourced and manufactured in accordance with our brand identity and ethical values. We can assure our customers that all our products are UK manufactured and all packaging is made from ethically sourced, recycled materials.
Be Inspired. Be Brae.
